My Winter Capsule Wardrobe – Top 10 Pieces
If you remember this post from December, I did a massive closet clean-out recently and when I say massive, I mean I cleared out around 80% percent of my entire wardrobe!
Crazy, I know. (Mostly donated, some passed on to friends and family and some sold on second-hand sites). I kept the clothes, shoes, and accessories I actually want to wear, and suddenly getting dressed in the morning wasn’t as much of a burden as before.
I was left with what I’m calling my winter capsule wardrobe. A few years ago, my girl Hannah walked you through the basics of the capsule wardrobe, and I’ve taken the theory of it and made it my own! Traditionally, a capsule wardrobe is defined as being a small selection of clothes where everything can work with everything. It focuses on pieces made with quality, personality, and versatility.
After the clean-out, I was left with good basics and everlasting classics. While I like to experiment with prints and colors, I’ve found that I get over them pretty quickly. After all these years, I know myself enough to know unlikely it is for me to wear them again. This year, I’m really focused on continuing to build my capsule wardrobe.
